Nate Plays Sidewalk One Last Time!

Hello Shelk Fans.

So I’m going to be playing Sidewalk tomorrow for one last music show. This is my first music show in about a year so I know you should be jonesing for it. I’ll be accompanied by the venerable Flynn Barrison who you must know plays a fierce clarinet and melodica and has the sweetest tenor voice this side of the mighty Mississip’.

And then also as a huge treat, I’ll have two special guests: Siobhan O’Malley and Eliza Skinner. If you have followed my musical wanderings in New York you will know that each played a very special part in my musical life here. Siobhan and I first started braving open mikes in 2000 together. And then we began a whole summer of playing at the Orange Bear with mammoth sets booked back-to-back. And later, when Huck Slim started–Eliza was part of the first line-up singing and playing drums. It was very exciting. So I am of course very excited to have them back playing and singing with me tomorrow.

So you should check it out!

-Nate

PS If you haven’t already you should check out Siobhan and Eliza who are great performers in their own right. Siobhan is a singer/songwriter with a fabulous new album out. And Eliza does pretty much everything–singing, stand-up, improv, musical improv, writing. It’s an embarrassment of riches really these three friends of mine.
