I love California. And one of the biggest reasons is this fabulous drink. ARNOLD PALMER. Have you had this before? It’s half iced tea, half lemonade. But more importantly, it’s the nectar of the gods. And best of all, in LA? It’s EVERYWHERE. I can’t get enough of this shit. And then Porter spoiled for reals because he pointed it out in the grocery store. And we found the low calorie version of AP which is a startling and mind blowing five calories a glass.
I’m ruined. How can anything else quench my thirst? The answer is: it can’t.
Plus I’ve become a bit of an AP snob too. I’ve begun to find the places where it’s great and where it’s subpar. For instance, Home on Hillhurst? Sublime. The Los Feliz golf course? Dreck.
The first thing I’m doing when I become famous is naming a drink after myself. The question is…. what will it be?
Early contender is something with foo berry which I discovered yesterday. But Foo Berry and what? Suggestions are welcome….
