One Night Only

If you’ve been to the movies lately, you might have noticed a peculiar preview. It’s not for a movie per se, but rather something that will be shown at the movies?

It’s a revival of Forever Plaid. Yes. Forever Plaid.

Here’s the interesting part of it. It’s for one night only. Yes. One Night.

This raises a lot of questions. Chief among them:

1) Are their that many fans of Forever Plaid?
2) But not THAT many? So as to warrant only one night(only)?
3) Is this maybe just something organized by the cast members of Forever Plaid?
4) But they have enough money to advertise in theaters?
5) But just for one night only?

It’s such a contradiction in terms. The next thing that is going to happen is I’ll actually see a business meeting taking place in a movie theatre. They always show ads that say have your conference here! As if it would be more exciting to have at a movie theatre. But it’s still just a movie theatre. I mean, does a movie theatre look any different than a giant lecture hall? It doesn’t. Except when the lights are off and a movie is showing.
