Some of you may know that a few of us went up to Maine to watch Kate run a half-marathon. She was raising money and awareness for pancreatic cancer research as a tribute to her mom who was diagnosed earlier this year with the disease. Check out this inspiring paragraph from her website:
“My original goal was to raise $3000 by October 1st. I reached this goal on July 10th, 4 days after launching my site. I plan on continuing to raise as much money as possible, working in $1000.00 increments. When I raise $4000.00, I will work to raise $5000.00, and so forth. All money raised will go toward Pancreatic Cancer Research at Mass General Hospital in Boston.
As of September 15 over $14,000 has been raised!”
That’s insane! Anyway… here is a video I took and a link to some pictures too… Check it out and if you are so moved definitely contribute to a very worthy cause. Kate Spencer is such a great person. I met the Spencer parents too and they are wonderful too as you’d expect!
